Bringing your dog to the beach should be the easy part of the trip. This page answers the questions we actually get at the front desk, in plain language: how many dogs, how big, how much, which rooms, and what the rules are once you step onto the sand.

Pet policy at a glance

How many dogs can I bring?

Two dogs per room, and each one needs to be 40 lbs. or under. If you’re traveling with a bigger dog, we’d rather tell you now than at check-in — the limit is firm, and it’s tied to the rooms we set aside for pets.

What does it cost to bring a dog?

The pet fee is $25 per day, per pet. It’s collected by the front desk at check-in, not at the time of booking. Two dogs for a five-night stay means $250 in pet fees on top of your room.

Which rooms are dog-friendly?

We keep pet-friendly rooms on designated floors rather than scattering them through the building. That’s better for everyone: your dog isn’t the only one in the hallway, and guests who’d rather not be near dogs aren’t. Are any breeds restricted?

Yes. The following breeds are not permitted: Rottweiler, Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, Boxer, German Shepherd, Presa Canario, American or Miniature Bulldog, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Akita, Wolf-hybrid, Mastiff, Cane Corso, Great Dane, Alaskan Malamute and Husky. Other breed restrictions may apply, so call ahead if you’re unsure where your dog falls.

Where can my dog go on the property?

Dogs must be leashed anywhere in public areas of the resort. They aren’t permitted in the pool areas — indoor or outdoor. There’s an on-site potty area for the quick trips, and direct beach access out the back for the longer ones.

Can I leave my dog alone in the room?

If you need to step out, we recommend using a pet carrier while your dog is unattended in the room. For anything longer than a quick errand, FURology Paw Spa & Retreat operates on the ground level of the resort and offers short-term day care along with grooming, nail trims and dental care. Can my dog go on the beach?

Yes, year-round — but the hours change with the season. From May 1 through Labor Day, City of Myrtle Beach rules allow dogs on the sand before 10:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. only. From the day after Labor Day through April 30, any time of day is fine. A leash of 7 feet or shorter is required every day of the year, and you’re expected to pick up after your dog.

What does my dog get for the fee?

Every dog checking in gets a welcome gift — treats and a bundle of waste bags. Beyond that, you get direct beach access for morning and evening walks, the on-site potty area, and a groomer and day care downstairs. The point of the pet fee isn’t to tolerate your dog; it’s to run a resort that’s actually set up for one.

• Check-in is 4:00 p.m., check-out is 10:00 a.m. The lobby is staffed 24 hours.
• The property is strictly non-smoking, including balconies.
• Guest parking is free, with a maximum of one parking pass per bedroom.
